"The Play's The Thing"

Yesterday after dress rehearsal:
Me: (exhaustedly) Okay. As of today, we are NOT doing Acting Camp again next year.
Mighty M: Can I quote you on that?

Today after the play was over and the kids did an AWESOME JOB:
Acting Camper's little brother: (excitedly) Next year I'm going to be old enough to be in Acting Camp!
Me: Oh, good! We'll be excited to have you do it with us.
Mighty M: I thought you said yesterday you weren't doing it next year.
Me: What? I don't remember ever saying that. OF COURSE we're doing it next year!
