1. I constantly forget my camera when it's really important. Luckily, my friend took some pictures with her camera and I'll post them when I get them.
2. If the Ward Activities Lady submits your name to the Bishop for approval for being in charge of the program and he says Yes, it's always fun to turn right back around and ask the Bishop and his family to be in the program.
3. Even if your daughter wouldn't let you be Hannah Montana for Halloween last year, you'd still just better buy that wig anyway, because you may just need it for a 1960s go-go/motown costume.
4. Hanging giant snowflakes from the top of the stage ceiling isn't as good of an idea when you realize that you're the one who's going to have to climb the 12 foot ladder to hang them.
5. The top of a 12 foot ladder is just as high up as it seems.
6. Once again the Dollar Store does not disappoint: giant plastic snowflakes, disco ball ornaments, and dalmation-patterned elbow-length gloves.
7. My good friend Stacie looks exactly like Boy George when she dresses up and puts on make-up like him (for the 80s lip-sync).
8. If you pick a few of the kids who are running around on the stage and knocking down the scenery (that you just spent hours putting up) and you ask them to be the "Stage Police" and to not let any other kids on the stage, they will take their new job very seriously.
9. Go-go boots make your feet really hurt after dancing in them for 2 minutes and 43 seconds.
10. My mom and dad and hubby are awesome (well, I already knew that) to come and help set things up and take things down. I would still be there setting things up if they wouldn't have helped. Thank you!
11. It is always nice when people thank you for asking them to help because they had so much fun.
12. We have so many talented people around here. From the 80s lip-sync-ers to the girl who played her violin solo, to the family that wrote and put on the "Santa's Price Is Right" skit and those who acted in it, to the 60s go-go/motown Supreme dance number, to the families who sang the Nativity Song, to the guy who was our 50s host, to the family who played their drum, violin, and kazoos as our house band. It was like, totally awesome, groovy, and swell from beginning to end (and it's over now--Whew!)
